Account Tracker is a powerful personal finance app that helps you track spending and monitor balances across multiple accounts. This companion Mac app supports two-way syncing with your iOS app (initially over iCloud), letting you view, edit and manage your data on the bigger screen of your Mac. You can also add and bulk edit transactions and easily reconcile your accounts. Changes are automatically synced back to your iOS devices on close.

Syncing requires Account Tracker PRO (for iOS) acting as a PRIMARY (sync) device. The basic version of Account Tracker (iOS) will also work, but only if you previously bought the Personal Sync upgrade.

As an alternative, the app can open and view (but not edit!) your iOS backup files. Again you will need Account Tracker (for iOS).

Not every feature of Account Tracker is supported on the Mac, most notably syncing over Dropbox (which will be added soon). A full comparison of these apps can be found on my support pages. If a feature that is really important to your workflow is not yet supported on the Mac, please let me know what is missing so I can prioritise adding these additional features and workflows.

– Track multiple accounts: checking, current, savings, credit cards, loans/mortgages … etc
– Separate your accounts into groups, e.g. personal vs business accounts (groups can be edited on iOS and synced to your Mac)
– Enter your recurring transactions using calendar-based repeat intervals, e.g. every 2 weeks, the last Friday of every month … etc
– Quickly and simply enter one-off transactions as they happen
– Reconcile your account data with your statements
– While it is useful to see where your money goes, you can also look FORWARDS, showing all of your future commitments

– View budgets per category for spending, income and transfers across individual or multiple accounts (budgets are set on iOS and synced to the Mac)
– View these as daily, weekly, fortnightly/biweekly, monthly, yearly or custom dates
– Monitor your transactions against the goals you set

Stay Hungry Stay Foolish

– Detailed reports to really understand your financial position
– Account balance over time, cash flow, spending by category or payee detail, income by category or payer and transfers by category

– Supports sub-categories and splitting a transaction across multiple categories/subcategories (splits must be set/edited on iOS and synced to the Mac)
PIN code protection (set on iOS)
– In-app help/user guide

Please don’t leave support requests on the Mac AppStore as these are anonymous and I have no way of contacting you if I have questions.

Instead there is a link to my support page from iTunes and from the app itself (or simply go to

Alternatively, contact me directly via my support pages and you will get a quick response.

Added support for deleting account groups (via syncing from iOS).

Bug fixes.
